A former Indian takeaway in the heart of London’s Kentish Town will be relaunching as a South Asian street food concept today.

Babuji will celebrate its grand opening later this evening at 5.30pm with a buy-1-get-1-free offer.

babuji-voucherLocated on Kentish Town Road, this 30-cover “causal but sophisticated restaurant brand” is conveniently situated opposite Kentish Town tube station.

And to celebrate, you can buy one dish from their ‘Quick Eats’ section and get another absolutely free (the cheapest one and excluding takeaways) using this voucher (only 1 voucher between 2 people; offer ends 22:00 on 7th April).

After 20 successful years, Gulshaan closed last year around October to make way for Babuji whose menu concentrates on South Asian street food.

Regarding their menu, FtLion has been informed: “We will be serving Halal meat and our meat suppliers are HMC-certified.”

Expect dishes like dhal makhni and roti, and the Vada Pav (pronounced pa-ow) – a spicy potato patties sandwiched between soft buttery buns with a generous amount of chilli and green chutney.
