Bim's Burgers McDonald's Ilford

Bim’s opens in London’s Ilford with charity drive

HALAL STATUS Fully Halal

Bim’s McD-inspired burgers have proved so popular in Walthamstow that they opened a second and larger venue in East London’s Ilford yesterday evening.

Located on Ilford Lane, this eatery is more tech-savvy than the first having introduced two automated ordering machines – similar again to some McD restaurants – to move things along more smoothly.

Bim’s also had an opening giveaway prize draw which would see a lucky winner scoop a two-day trip to Disneyland Paris for 2 adults and 2 children.

One local foodblogger who visited, Halal Food Therapy, said that “not only is the food like mcdonalds [sic]”, but declared the Double Fumey, with two patties and beef bacon, his favourite.

While the fries to be “really good” describing them as “close to the real thing”, he did say that the vanilla shake required “much improvement”.

The restaurant also launched with a “pay what you want” policy which would see all proceeds made on the day going to charity group Human Appeal.

As an international relief and development agency, Human Appeal has been dedicated to “caring for others” and “providing humanitarian aid that saves and transforms lives” in 24 countries for over 25 years.
