German Doner Kebab opens second Birmingham store
Located on Moseley Street, the launch party was attended by Labour Cllr Majid Mahmood, and stars of ITV2’s Love Island Mike Thalassitis and Danielle Sellers.
Danielle was also invited last week to the official launch of GDK’s first Scotland branch in Dundee, which actually opened in November last year.
Following the successful launch at Moseley Road, Cllr Mahmood said on Twitter that it was “a pleasure to be at the official opening”.
Describing the food and venue as “delicious, decor brilliant, & outstanding customer service. Highly recommended”, he added: “Great to see that Birmingham attracts the best of the best in all areas @DanieIleSellers.”
One of the selling points GDK promotes is how their kebabs are lower in calories and therefore healthier than your typical doners out there.
The Chicken Doner Box Meal is touted as containing 433 calories, yet packs a 46g protein punch.
GDK originated in Berlin and has since become a global sensation.
While the Birmingham is the kebab powerhouse’s 14th UK branch, there’s currently plans for opening nine more, including two more in Scotland.
