London’s Halal-Friendly Korean Eateries

Ever tried seeking out a Halal-friendly, let alone a fully Halal, Korean restaurant in London?

If you have, then you’ll know the enormity of the task of locating just one. Fortunately, that’s where we come in to make your life that little bit easier with this exclusive list, painstakingly collated and presented below, of Halal and Halal-friendly restaurants and take aways. Granted not all are fully Halal, but beggars can’t be choosers, as they say!

Note also that some of these eateries may use Gochujang, a red chilli paste that can be fermented and thus contain alcohol, as an ingredient for their dishes. Be sure to double-check with the restaurant regarding this and anything else that may contain alcohol.

But, in the grand scheme of things, let’s not forget to applaud the following seven eateries who haven’t forgotten their Muslim neighbours. Having gone out of their way to source and supply mainly Halal chicken, they’ve also provided personal assurances of zero cross-contamination between any pork on the menu and the preparation of their Halal dishes.

Have we missed any? Let us know!

Café Bibimbap

Cafe Bibimbap Korean Ealing London Halal restaurant

Fully Halal

You can imagine how excited we were when coming to learn of the launch of fully Halal (you heard that right) Café Bibimbap in west London’s Ealing.

Cafe Bibimbap Korean Ealing London Halal restaurantCafé Bibimbap’s owner, Yeohan Kim, who’s a model, budding actor, and presenter, and who converted to Islam in 2016, has setup shop in a small galleria in West Ealing called Al Jazeera Mall on The Broadway.

Although indoor seating is currently limited to no more than three, with the option of a small table being temporarily setup outside, we were informed that more will become available soon when the café secures the premises next door.

Inspired by “mum’s homemade healthy food”, the menu is succinct, with a trio of Bibimbaps and Specials that can be had with the traditional Korean side dish of fermented cabbage called Kimchi, as well as plenty of Korean-inspired teas with a few Korean Patisseries and Snacks. The good news is that their Gochujang sauce if Halal.

  • Halal-friendly Korean cuisine? That’s a new concept for me. I have a Muslim friend who only eats Halal food, and it’s difficult for him to appreciate exotic foods, for obvious reasons. Unfortunately, I only knew the general stuff about the korean restaurants in London.
But if some of them offer Halal, I really need to take my friend there. If anyone knows any more of the restaurants serving Halal food, I would like to know more.
