London Halal Food Festival 2016 #HFFLondon
As official media partners to London Halal Food Festival, Feed the Lion was at the Tobacco Dock in East London to provide comprehensive and up-to-date, as in LIVE, coverage of this year’s prestigious food event.
Using the power of social media, including Live Facebook Feeds, Tweets, Vine posts, and Instagram, we conducted interviews with:
- 2012 Masterchef winner, Shelina Permalloo
- 2013 Great British Bake Off contestant, Ali Imdad
- Asma Khan of supper club fame Darjeeling Express
In addition, not only did we deliver live videos of these chefs doing what they do best during their respective cooking shows, but also interviewed a number of stall holders about their businesses, all of which covered a diverse range of food products and cuisines from around the world.
From delicious gourmet hot dogs, Argentinian-inspired steaks, beef briskets and American BBQ burgers, to large and colourful decadent doughnuts, handcrafted chocolates and dates, and tasty pies. And while there was even a sushi van at the far end of the docks, a special mention has to be made of these Pakistani inspired Bun Kababs (initially mentioned here) we finally had the pleasure of tasting.
This really was a festival celebrating and showcasing the very best of Britain’s halal food industry.
