The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge got the opportunity of creating their very own milkshakes yesterday at a popular Pakistani Halal restaurant in West Yorkshire.

As part of their first joint engagement of the year, William and Kate stopped by at MyLahore in Bradford where they got to meet former British boxing world champion Amir Khan.

The royal couple were welcomed at the flagship store on Great Horton Road by the brand’s Managing Director Shakoor Ahmed and CEO Asghar Ali.

Proudly chronicling the couple’s second engagement of the day on their Instagram account, MyLahore said: “It was a great privilege to have served them a #MyLahoreMeal and show them our British Asian Kitchen!”

As for those who had the opportunity of personally meeting and talking to William and Kate: “Happiness is witnessing their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge making their own MyLahore Milkshakes.”

Having first started “from humble beginnings” back in 2002, MyLahore is a family-run business that says it “prides itself on championing local people and local causes”.

With restaurants in Bradford, Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham, the franchise is looking to expand “with London coming soon”.
