Phat Buns opens to serve smashed burgers in Leicester

A new fully Halal burger joint which serves “100% dry-aged Angus beef smash burgers” has opened in Western Boulevard following a popular soft opening.

With HMC sourced meat, Phat Buns’ 3-step ordering process involves choosing a bun – Seeded, Brioche, Pretzel or Vegan – followed by a patty and toppings.

Other menu items include vegan options, tater tots and frozen Coke and Fanta slushies, the latter available in three flavours orange, strawberry and blue raspberry.

And Phat Buns has already garnered positive reviews with popular local Instagram food blogger Hajat’s Review concluding that his first visit was a “wicked experience overall with friendly owners and staff”.

Opting also for a Brioche Bun with a Phat Chick Patty, which he said was “nice and crispy”, and an Egg for an extra that was “spot on”, not only did he say it “tasted delicious”, but also said that the Potato Tots and Fries were “awesome, crispy and nice and golden in colour”.

Another Instagram food blogger named Vegan Bliss Life, who tried the vegan burger with a “soy patty which gives it a meaty texture” that’s “all cooked separately”, said of Phat Buns: “Great food great, atmosphere, great service. Anyone around Leicester needs to check it out! Definitely worth it.”
