Steak on the Green opens in Ealing Broadway
Well the folks behind this ambitious up-market steakhouse are behind the new opening of a restaurant in Ealing that offers exactly the same Halal menu.
Located on Haven Green and around the corner to Ealing Broadway station, Steak on the Green took over from Pizza on the Green.
With a seating capacity of 58, its Halal menu starters are dominated by a mixture of seafood dishes that include Seafood Chowder, Pacific Shrimp Tempura, and Salmon Cevich.
As for the steaks, then these are cooked to the diner’s requirement with the largest Fillet piece being a respectable 300g.
Rib Eye and Sirloin are also available in three weights, with two “thick cut” pieces weighing 350g and 500g respectively.
There’s then Steak on the Green’s Special House Cut Steaks, which are a huge 400g or 500g slabs of Chateaubriand intended for sharing between two.
As The Steak Restaurant, this branch also stands out from the others in its cooking method with the thick-cut steaks being cooked on a specialised grill that’s heated to 1800°F and where “the extreme, intense heat sears, caramelises, crusts & locks in all the juices ensuring a beautifully textured steak bursting with flavour”.
And as with The Steak Restaurant, the Haven Green venue has quality controls in place to ensure zero risk of cross contamination.
According to the menu: “All our Halal meat is certified, and is prepared with separate chopping boards and knives, and cooked in separate pots and pans.”
