A new dairy-free Kosher restaurant opened this week in London’s happening place, Camden.

Only a minute walk from Belsize Park underground station, Tish is a 160-cover eatery located on Haverstock Hill with a large outdoor terrace and a huge copper canopy topping a massive open kitchen.

While there’s an all-day alcohol bar, we’ve also been informed that “there are a few [food] items that contain alcohol, and we would be happy to provide a list to anyone who inquires (or in advance if helpful)”.

Given that they open at 7am, there’s of course an exciting breakfast menu available until 11:30am that does, among other goodies, Pancakes with maple syrup or chocolate sauce with seasonal fruit compote or fresh fruits, and Challah French toast alongside maple syrup with seasonal fruit compote or fresh fruits.

Open until late, Tish is offering both modern classics, new seasonal dishes, as well as Jewish heritage favourites, which include, apart from salt beef of course, the following:

  • Chicken schnitzel with roasted fingerling potatoes, peppers and caper berries.
  • Crispy duck leg  with red cabbage and cranberry jus.
  • Hungarian bean soup
  • Dry-aged rib eye steak with Portobello mushroom and plum tomato
  • Seared salmon fillet with green kale salsa, pickled fennel, crispy pearl barley and pomegranate

And as a Jewish restaurant, Tish are observing the Shabbat, or Sabbath, by offering a Friday night dinner and Saturday Lunch prix-fixe menu for advanced booking only.
