Kervan Sofrasi (Turkish) – Edmonton
This place was recommended by a brother who likes to eat and apparently knows his food. We went down mid-week during the evening and the place was jamming; so it was a good thing we booked ahead.
There’s lots on the menu, but since we went for, of course, meat meat and more meat, there was no need for starters with the Kervan Special main course awaiting us.
Kervan Special – Rice and cous cous, selection of lamb & chicken shish, adana, chicken wings, lamb chops, lamb ribs, lamb & chicken doner, £27.50.

Summary
We justify this review in light of a single dish since it came with practically everything meat-oriented. But... but, although it looked fantastic and was pleasant to begin with, it turned out to be pretty bland despite being charcoal grilled. It was also very dry and, therefore, begging for some sauce, which wasn't on offer!
What's worse, we had to get a cuppa to drown the bitter charcoal aftertaste left behind, which strangely lingered into the next day!
In our view, what they desperately need is some good quality selection of sauces and spice to make this place into something more memorable. Bloody shame really, because at the moment it's pretty much style over substance!
And this is an honest review, so don't be fooled by those who rate this place; it's obvious they don't get out much.

This looks delicious. Mixed grill always disappoint and Turkish food is very bland.
