MyLahore opens relocated Leeds branch tomorrow
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalRestaurant chain MyLahore will be opening the doors to its newly relocated premises in Leeds having literally moved down the road from where it was before.
Previously situated on Burley Road, the Pakistani eatery has now moved around the corner to Kirkstall Road.
With branches in Bradford, Manchester and Birmingham too, MyLahore is a well-established business having won a number of awards including both the Regional Takeaway of the Year and Takeaway of the Year awards at the 2013 English Curry Awards.
As well as having a large social media following, with almost 30k followers on Facebook, all its branches currently enjoy an impressive rating of between 4 and 4.5/5 on Trip Advisor.
But although it defines itself as Pakistani, the menu itself is as ecclectic as a menu can be with a range of cuisines that have, as its website puts it, “a generous helping of MyLahore magic”.
Hence, while you can enjoy a variety of ‘Traditional Curries’, which include a selection of Karahis, Korma, Jalfrezi, Rogan Josh, as well as a number of Biryanis, they also offer a ‘Global Flavours’ section where you can order Italian-inspired pasta and Far East-inspired Stir Fries such as:
- Chicken Parmesan – Butterflied oven-cooked chicken breast in golden breadcrumbs with a number of toppings
- Desi Chicken Stir-Fry – Chicken breast strips flame fried served with either noodles, rice or fries.
- Chicken or Keema Pasta – Chicken pieces or mutton mince tossed into a spicy chilli and tomato pasta and sprinkled with grated cheddar cheese.
If you prefer something a little more meatier in nature, then there’s ‘Flame Grills & BBQs’ that includes there Special Mixed Grill of chops, fish, meat seekh, chicken seekh and chicken wings.
They also do burgers, which are said to be “handcrafted, gourmet-style 4.5oz chargrilled beef, chicken or fish”, as well as seafood and steaks, the latter “sourced for quality and provenance from Red Tractor approved farms”.
Their desserts are wide ranging too with a combination of nostalgia and fun. In fact, they actually have a section titled ‘Old School Puddings’ that includes Jam Roly Poly, Apple Crumble, and Cornflake Tart.
Otherwise, there’s the following: “When we say, ‘freshly baked’, we really mean it … hand-crafted by our expert bakers,” such as a Chocolate Fudge Brownie, Profiteroles, or an Oreo Cake among other goodies.
If you’re looking for tradional, however, then there’s the classic Gajrella, Falooda or Kheer.
MyLahore even has a mobile app that can be downloaded, and offers a loyalty reward scheme via its website where every £1 spent can earn 5 points where 100 points is worth £1 off the next order.
