An American burger chain that specialises in offering customers full control over the creation of their burgers has launched its first UK store in East London.
The aptly named BUILT Custom Burgers has opened in Ilford’s Cranbrook Road where they will be serving “Build Your Own” burgers, fries, shakes, and more, all in a laid back space.
The idea is to get everyone — adults, kids, teens, families and friends — building their own bespoke meal in a speedy manner.
While the option of cooking a chosen menu isn’t quite part of this unique setup, the restaurant’s website ensures its customers that the meal is built and served by their staff “quickly without compromising quality, flavor, and choice”.
The process is pretty straight forward. With the choice of quarter or half pounder, the first stage is to choose ‘Bun or Bowl [of greens]’; then your protein: “hormone & antibiotic-free” Angus beef, all-natural chicken, or Vegan Veggie; a cheese; sauces or dressings; and ‘Free Unlimited Toppings’.
Otherwise, there’s three already-built burgers which includes the above: the aptly named ‘UK Club’ @ £5.99.
While BUILT Custom Burgers has a number of branches across the US, it also has a branch each in Canada and Malaysia, with plans for opening in Africa’s Ghana and Togo.
