XXL East London burgers at Fatboyz Diner in Barking

We were on buses and trains for about one and a half hours just to get to Fatboyz Diner.
Have to say though: the trek was worth it!
As we walked in, we were greeted by staff who were extremely polite.
In fact, the customer service here was exceptional throughout.
The diner was fairly empty, which was a plus given the short waiting time.
We ordered two drinks: house lemonade and strawberry mojito mocktail.
These turned out to be cool and refreshing, with the drinks managing to stay chilled throughout.

We then ordered the XXL American single burger and XXL Spicy Chick burger.
The meat burger was huge (no wonder the place is called Fatboyz Diner), with a portion size bigger than expected resulting in food that was good value for the money.
As a picky eater, I do not like onions in my burger. In this case, however, the caramelised onions complimented the taste of the savoury burger.
The American Single – single beef patty,American cheese,caramelised onions, lettuce, tomato,ketchup, mustard, mayo, £6.00 – XXL it (2 extra patties) for £3.00.
Regarding the chicken burger, then it was far too salty and therefore slightly off-putting.
As for the cheesy fries, then not only was the cheese not evenly distributed, but it also came out dried up on top.
Spicy Chick – chargrilled peri peri chicken breast, American cheese, onion rings, peri peri mayo, lettuce, tomato, £7.00 – XXL it (2 extra patties) for £3.00
Cheesy Fries – skinny fries topped with mozzarella cheese, £3.50 – add £1 for Nacho Cheese Sauce.
Fortunately, the dessert was absolutely incredible!
I recommend the chocolate crepe with strawberries and bananas as the perfect finish to an otherwise satisfactory meal.
