Gatwick Halal food festival this Sunday in Crawley
Following last year’s success, the second Gatwick International Food Festival will be taking place in Crawley on 1st September.
With doors opening at 11am his coming Sunday, the fully Halal festival is free to enter and promises to bring together a variety of cuisines from across the world in Cherry Lane Playing Fields.
The organisers of the event will again be supporting charity group Forgotten Women who are currently “in Somalia RIGHT NOW building kiosks for women to escape the poverty trap & earn for themselves”.
Described as the “biggest street food festival in Crawley, Horley and Gatwick”, there will be plenty of entertainment for everyone, including a kids play area and a funfair.
Along with the return of 2012 MasterChef champion Shelina Permalloo, who will hosting a number food demos presented by celebrity chefs, there will also be raffle contests, craft and artisan trades, and more.
Event organisers have also confirmed a Mediterranean stall that will be catering for Vegans.
There will be parking available for the approximately 5,000 visitors expected on the day, with the festival ending at 7pm.
