The guys behind Guanabana in London’s Camden Town and Europe’s first Filipino ice cream parlour Mamasons have now launched Moi Moi Island.
Similar to Guanabana and located immediately next door on Kentish Town Road, this fully Halal takeaway specialises in West African and Caribbean cuisine.
And to celebrate their grand opening, Moi Moi Island is offering a 30% discount across its entire menu for this week only.
The menu itself appears to revolve around Moi Moi’s signature food plates, which come in two sizes: small and regular, and in five varying choices: suya beef, oxtail bowl, vegan bowl, jerk chicken, and curry lamb.
The Suya Beef, for instance, is served with jollof rice, pepper sauce, moi moi extra suya spice, and is topped up with some fried plantain.
In addition, they offer chicken wings in four flavours: ewa agoyin, spicy jerk, garlic, and sweet, as well as grilled and toasted fat filled tortilla rolls.
For the vegans, there’s a hearty chickpea stew and creamy okra and callaloo plate over your choice of rice and peas or Jollof rice, and topped with Vegan Moi Moi.
