50% off Café17 launch in London Walthamstow this Saturday
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalA new fusion cafe will be launching in east London’s Walthamstow this coming Saturday at 10pm with 50% off the entire menu for the day.
Located on Hoe Street, Café17 recently enjoyed positive feedback from a number of local bloggers that were invited down for a menu tasting session.
The 30-cover restaurant served a variety of small dishes that included Sheekh Kebab on a Paratha with Kachumber Salad, Bread Biran, a mini full English breakfast, and Shakshuka.
With the menu not being revealed until launch day, Café17 followed these dishes up with a traditional Bangladeshi dessert called Shemai, as well as Peanut Butter Pancakes with Strawberry Jam.
When thanking the café for the invite, Instagram blogger ‘and.exhale’ remarked: “I was happy to see so much Bengali culture incorporated into your menu,” while ‘Little Food Traveller’ observed: “I really like the fusion of different cultures in your menu.”
While the restaurant told FtLion that the menu will contain a “selection of breakfast, brunch, and lunch,” it also confirmed: “[W]e are from [a] South Asian background, but born and bread in England, and our chef has a Mediterranean background”.
