West London Islamic Centre serving free meals in Ealing

A local mosque in west London has organised free hot meals and essential food pack deliveries for local individuals and families in need.

West London Islamic Centre (WLIC) in West Ealing will be serving hot meals from its ground floor every day between 3-6pm until 2nd January 2021.

The community hub has also put together food packs containing essential dry food items that are available for pick up or delivery within local areas.

Visitors will be expected to observe strict covid regulations including keeping socially distanced, using the sanitisers available at the centre’s reception desk, and the wearing of a face mask at all times.

Ealing Councillor Julian Bell acknowledged that “many families and individuals across the borough are struggling financially because of Covid”.

WLIC said: “If you know someone who would benefit from these services, please direct them to the centre on Singapore Road London W13 OSQ or call 020 8840 4140 to make arrangements.”
