Popular German Doner Kebab opens second Glasgow site

German Doner Kebab (GDK) have proved such a draw in Glasgow that they’ve only gone and opened an even bigger second branch.

This new place replaces Usha’s Indian restaurant on the corner of Byres Road and Dumbarton Road with plenty of seating available.

The award-winning brand is shrugging off the turmoil facing the UK’s casual dining sector and reportedly aiming to open 47 new restaurants by the end of 2021.

“Sooo… after seeing how much you lot love our Glasgow city centre restaurant, we’ve treated you to ANOTHER Glasgow GDK,” the healthy doner business announced.

With their Chicken Doner Box Meal said to contain just 46g of protein, while containing just 433 calories in all, GDK says that “delivery and click & collect will be available in due course”.
