For Aisha secures £400k funding for further expansion
Award-winning Halal baby food manufacturer For Aisha has reportedly received a £400k investment for new product development and overseas expansion.
The funding will allow the Nottinghamshire-based business to consolidate its position as the only major commercial certified brand of Halal and Tayyib baby food in the UK.
The financial injection will allow for the recruitement of a commercial director and help develop the brand’s UK business while also taking it into new overseas markets.
Operating out of Edwalton, the company will focus on meeting the current UK and overseas demand, while developing new products to add to its current range.
Having won 20 national food awards, including the Made for Mums and World Food Innovation awards, For Aisha’s executive chair, Joy Parkinson said: “The funding will also enable us to conduct research to develop exciting new recipes aimed at older toddlers.
The funds will be acquired from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF), provided by The FSE Group Debt Finance Fund, and backed by the Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS).
