Lebanese Halal Wala opens in London Camden
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalA new Lebanese restaurant that promises to “pay homage to the traditional Shawarma” has launched in London’s happening-place of Camden.
The colourful Hala Wala is an Eastern Mediterranean-inspired fast casual eatery that has opened on Camden High Street.
With seating available inside, it serves “one of the world’s most popular street foods – the shawarma as well as an array of delicious, freshly prepared traditional dishes to eat in or takeaway”.
Among its menu items, there’s a variety of chicken, lamb and veggie shawarma wraps, in addition to platters consisting of white rice or burgal (wheat gluten), with a side of mixed salad, toum sauce and Lebanese bread.
They also do Fattoush or Tabbouleh Quinoa Salad, and sides like Moussaka aubergine, Batata Harra, Loaded Fries, Falafel and more.
