German Doner Kebab hits 150th landmark store globally

One of the UK’s leading Halal brands, German Doner Kebab (GDK), has opened its 150th store worldwide with its landmark store in Somerset.
Located on the High Street of Weston-super-Mare, not only is this their 128th in the UK, but GDK is aiming to hit 400 globally by 2030.
Owned by Hero Brands, GDK will also reportedly be launching its first restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with recent openings in New York and Houston, Texas, with the aim of 12 new US restaurants this year.
The fast-casual award-winning franchise is known for promoting a healthy doner kebab option that contains lower calories when compared to the traditional ones found elsewhere.
Their Chicken Doner Box Meal is said to contain just 46g of protein, which amounts to just 433 calories in all, and they offer doner (and veggie) burgers, doner nachos, doner quesadillas, doner paninis, and doner spring rolls.
