Cheesesteak Company in Cardiff Wales Halal restaurant food tour
SPONSORED CONTENT HALAL STATUS Fully HalalOf all the restaurants in FtLion’s Halal food tour of Wales (sponsored by Harmony Farm in Torfaen who offer BBQs, camping, B&B, yurts, and more), the Cheesesteak Company stood out for its sheer uniqueness alone.
Inspired by the American cheesesteak, which first originated in the city of Philadelphia, this fast food brand, whose first branch is located in Blackwood, has taken this concept to the next level with its second in Cardiff.
If first impressions count for anything, then this second eatery is strikingly designed, with a contrastive black and yellow colour-scheme that allows it to stand out from the crowd on Crwys Road.
With indoor seating available for four, the Cheesesteak Company is also an extremely popular takeaway, with delivery via their partner Uber Eats.
A unique menu sets Cheesesteak Company apart in Cardiff
On to this mind-blowingly unique menu, with plenty of cheese and steak, as well as other delicious options to consider that’s positively unique to Wales alone.
Let’s start with their best-selling Baguettes with Steak, which at just £7.50, and with a lightly toasted baguette that’s filled to the rafters with succulent pieces of beef, lettuce, red onions, peppers, cheddar slices and plenty of cheese wiz, is an absolute must.
And as an example of how meticulously the Cheesesteak Company has created its menu, they offer a selection of not just wraps and rice boxes, but also burritos from just £7.50.
While diners can build their own, why not try a combo of steak and marinated chicken (available only upon request) that’s paired with fragrant rice, salad, cheese wiz, and a sauce of your choice, before being wrapped into an explosive burrito that’s upgradable to a meal for an extra £2.50.
In terms of their sauces, then there’s an eye-whopping dozen to consider: BBQ, Tandoori, Garlic, Lemon & Herb Peri, Pink, Sweet Chilli, Ranch, Nashville Sweet & Spicy, Mayo, Inferno Hot, Ketchup, and for those brave enough, Ghost Pepper.
But they also offer their steaks in the form of a number of well-crafted burgers too which include intriguing ones such as the Terminator with jalapenos and ghost pepper sauce.
The Boss, however, cleverly brings the steak together with small chunks of beef sausage alongside crispy strips of turkey bacon, both of which provide that beautiful smokiness, with just enough cheese wiz to make this burger sing.
It should go without saying though that their Loaded Fries are epic, with the Dirty Steak version mixing a plethora of ingredients to deliver a box full to the brim with wholesome goodness.
Not only do they juxtapose the steak with beef chilli to bring that extra layer of umami-goodness, but finish things off with a generous volume of their famous cheese wiz and a sauce of your choosing.
And if all the above isn’t evidence enough of the attention to detail these guys incorporate into their menu, then how about the fact that they serve Fresh Churros that are literally made to order.
Covered in four different sauces: nutella, caramel, toffee, or plain, before being dusted in either cinnamon or sugar, diners are given the perfect way to end their experience at this restaurant with half-a-dozen crispy churros for just £4.95.
For those looking to make a solid meal of it, there’s also a variety of sides to enjoy ranging from Mac ‘n’ Cheese Bites, Cheese ‘n’ Onion Rings, Cheese Fries, and a tub for those who love their Cheese Wiz.
There’s a reason why the Cheesesteak Company in Cardiff is one of those rare gems that stand apart from the crowd, with a fantastic menu you simply will not find elsewhere.
