Alternative drinks for restaurants boycotting Coca-Cola & Pepsi
The UK-based NGO Friends of Al-Aqsa recently launched a #BoycottCocaCola campaign that encouraged restaurants to ditch the company “Coca-Cola for operating… in Atarot, an illegal Israeli settlement located in the occupied West Bank”.
Since then, an increasing number of restaurants have chosen to boycott not just Coca-Cola, but also Pepsi for their continued support of Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine and its invasion of Gaza.
Here is a list of nine beverage companies, some of which provide alternative colas, for those restaurants and takeaways looking to join this boycott.
AZANTI
Azanti is a business that is the pinnacle of quality Halal-certified drinks in the UK, with plenty of choices to consider. With its founder actively promoting a sober-lifestyle, Azanti is known for supplying beverages to some of the country’s leading Halal restaurants.
THE MOCKTAIL COMPANY
As it says on the tin, The Mocktail Company specialise in bottled mocktails, with four specific flavours to stock: Pina Colada, Old Passioned, Strawberry Mockiri and Nojito.

411 drinks is a family-owned business that have been around for a while. They have half-a-dozen flavours: the original Miami Blue, Mango, Strawberry, Lemon, Peach and Pineapple, and their cola VYBZ.
EVOCA
Evoca is as well-known as they come. A London-based company that doesn’t just offer a cola soft drink, but also a trio of additional flavours: Mango, Strawberry, and Orange, with all four made using “100% Natural Mineral Water”.
KARMA
Karma drinks aren’t just known for their Karma Cola in both can and bottle form, but also do a number of other flavours too – Orangeade, Lemony, Razza, Gingerella – all of which are made of “real organic and Fairtrade ingredients”.
GUSTO
Gusto Organic are not only the first organic-certified, lower calorie cola produced in the UK, but they also do a variety of other flavours that include Cherry Cola, Ginger wih Chipotle, Blood Orange, Lemon Yuzu, and a pair of energy drinks.
CHU LO
Chu Lo may not be as well-known as some in this list, but it’s a Japanese-inspired soft drinks company that offers four flavours: Apple Sour, Peach Sour, Lemon Sour, and Cherry Sour.
PACHA
Some of you may have seen the distinct clear packaging of Pacha around. With a mix-fruit aroma, this slightly sparkling water offers six flavours: Strawberry, Apple, Peach, Lychee, Mojito, and Melon.
FENTIMANS
Fentimans have been around for longer than any brand in this group. And though they have 11 bottled soft drinks, it should be noted that the Lemon Shandy contains “no more than 0.5% alcohol per volume”.
Otherwise, the remaining 10 are: Cherry Cola, Mandarin & Seville Orange Jigger, Dandelion & Burdock, Raspberry Lemonade, Victorian Lemonade, Gently Sparkling Elderflower, Pink Ginger, Curiosity Cola, Rose Lemonade, and Ginger Beer.
JARRITOS
Finally, here’s a Mexican Cola by Jarritos alongside a variety of other exciting flavours to consider stocking: Passion Fruit, Mandarin, Watermelon, Pineapple, Strawberry, Mango, Fruit Punch, Grapefruit, Guava, Lime, and Tamarind.
