Burger Drop launch in Whitley Bay & aim for 150 stores by 2034

A burger franchise that says it is aiming for 150 UK stores by 2034 has opened its third since first launching in 2020.

Burger Drop opened its doors yesterday in Tyne and Wear’s Whitley Bay on Whitley Road, and has at least three more planned by the end of the year.

Founded by Hasan Hamid and Amer Qayyum, the burger brand has two branches in its home city of Newcastle, and says it has received over 200 franchise enquiries since first opening.

With Sunderland said to be in the early stages of construction and their flagstore to be launched soon in Edinburgh’s Newington, a site in Manchester is also in the pipeline.
