3rd ARON award winners virtually announced
I place genuine merit achievements at the forefront of the process – Rehan Uddin, ARON MD
A number of Halal-friendly businesses were among the winners of this year’s Asian Restaurant Owners Network (ARON) annual awards.
With Best Restaurant going to Spice Valley in Norwich, Best Chef went to Taj Tandoori Cambridge, Best Takeaway to Home Curries in Lincoln, and Best Customer Service to Horsham Tandoori.
With last year’s event having been cancelled due to the pandemic, this one took place virtually while highlighting industry trends during a difficult period.
Each of the 11 categories were narrowed down to the final three choices in each area with the winners anounced live online before sharing their success stories.
Using a “uniquely transparent process of mystery shopping the establishments”, the awards are designed to provide “a fair and equal platform to support and inspire the future of the industry”.
With all entrants being completely free, ARON MD, Rehan Uddin, said: “I place genuine merit achievements at the forefront of the process.”
The other winners were: Best Events Caterer – Blue Lotus Inspirations London; Best Concept – Thakers Houslow; Rising Star – Ranie Sirah’s Jah Jyot Leeds; Most Inspirational – Garima Poddar Birmingham; Asian Tech Style – Rational AG; Best Street Food – Ranie Sirah Jah Jyot Leeds.
The entire award show can be viewed on the Asian Restaurant Owners Network Facebook page with communities encouraged to show support for the winners.
