Bibis Italianissimo sings the high notes

What better place for a catch up with my girlies on a Friday night than Bibis Italianissimo in Leeds.
Bibis oooozes Art Deco sophistication; it reminds me of fun times, parties and just a gorgeous atmosphere that subtly hints at sophistication, first dates (where I mistakenly ordered Octopus – it tasted like chicken) and giggles with friends.
This Italian restaurant has a heartbeat and on this particular Friday night I am enjoying the delicious ambience of good music, gorgeous Mocktails and the anticipation of the ultimate comfort food: PASTA – much needed after a hard week at work.
Like any seasoned pasta fiend, I skipped starters and went straight for the good stuff, a delicious chicken and mushroom pasta Alfredo and yummy cheesy garlic bread.
If food could take the form of a comforting hug then this was definitely a deluxe hug!
The pasta was perfectly al dente, the sauce seasoned to perfection; and the first mouthful confirmed that Bibis was the right choice. Mmmmm mmmm mmmm, my home cooked pasta offerings never taste this good!
Thank you Bibis for a perfect main course and to our lovely waitress for the requisite lashings of Parmesan and black pepper – divine!
But it gets better. Creme Brûlée, and not just any Creme Brûlée, the most delicious, perfectly golden, cracking-of-sugar-at-the-right-decibel dessert. I’ve died and I’ve gone to comfort food heaven.
And all this yumminess and a Mocktail or two for a bargain £30. Thank you again Bibis – I’m healed, my stomach is singing happy tunes and I’m weekend ready. I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
