Boxhall City launch with plenty of Halal options in London
A new food hall in the heart of London’s Liverpool Street has launched today with a number of exciting Halal options.
With over a dozen food kitchens, Boxhall City says it is “bringing together the best of London’s food scene in a vibrant and dynamic setting”.
Of these, FtLion can confirm that at least five cater for Halal with Farzi, Old Chang Kee, Burger & Beyond, Eggslut, and Baked Bird, as well as desserts and coffee.
With plenty of seating available indoors, it should be noted that alcohol bars are to be found therein, with “dynamic live entertainment” also scheduled at various times.
Five kitchens that cater for Halal
Old Chang Kee specialises in Singaporean curry puffs, whose original recipe dates back to over 60 years and is literally kept under lock and key in a bank vault in Singapore.
Farzi offers high-end Indian cuisine and is headed by talented chef Nikhil Mahale, who some might recall also headed the now defunct Noir in South Woodford.
Burger & Beyond have informed FtLion that “all our chicken is Halal”, while Eggslut, whose concept revolves around all-things eggs, confirm on their website: “Our Wagyu beef, beef bacon, and turkey sausage are all Halal-certified.”
As for Baked Bird, then not only do they offer, as an alternative to fried poultry, oven-baked chicken, but according to the FAQ section on their website, the menu is entirely Halal with certificates available at request.
