Let me introduce you to Café Delhi, located on Melton Road. Before anything else, I want to thank brother Jahinoor for inviting me and a guest to his restaurant which, by the way, I was instantly drawn to with its sophisticated decor, frames and comfortable seating.
Café Delhi is a place that serves non-veggie as well as vegetarian dishes, and is HMC-certified.

Initially I couldnt taste the sweetness of the Sugar Cane Mojito, as it was overpowered by the sour taste of the lime and mint.
But they were kind enough to make me a new one, which tasted so much better. It was a similar situation with my friend’s Nimbu Pani, which just needed a little sweetness added to sort things out.
The Mixed Kebab Platter was okay. A few tweaks on the Lamb Chops and Gilafi Seekh Kebabs would’ve made this a lot more satisfiying to eat, since it was dry in texture. Nevertheless the flavours and spices were there.

The Chicken Tikka however tasted lovely and wasn’t dry at all. The Butter Chicken – my absolute favourite dish – for sure tasted delicious. It was creamy and on point, with the sweetness and texture being perfect. The superbly flavoured Prawn Curry tasted great too, with the delayed kick of the spicy heat being tolerable.
Lastly, the Samosa Chaat was fabulous, with the different flavours of the sweet to tangy, roaming around on my palle, only leaving me to say that our dinner ended on a high note.
