#Cakes4Syria ‘Sell Cakes – Save Lives’ campaign
An award-winning campaign is encouraging people this Ramadan to enjoy a slice (or three) of chocolate fudge cake while supporting a noble cause.
The Cake Campaign is indulging the sweet tooth of thousands across the country with the aim of raising vital funds for the poverty-stricken people of Syria.
A delicious 14-piece chocolate fudge cake is being delivered directly to people’s doors for just £10 with all proceeds going to Islamic Relief’s Syria Appeal.
While the concept is simple enough, ‘Sell Cakes – Save Lives’, customers are encouraged to share the cake and raise awareness of those affected by the civil war in Syria.
Have you ordered yours yet?
With last year’s #Cakes4Syria campaign selling 25,206 cakes to homes in 100 postcodes across the country, volunteer organisers have already begun delivering this year’s orders.
Having started back in 2013 by Islamic Relief, the initiative has sold 125,000 cakes in total with 1.75 million slices eaten and raised over £1.25m.
Cakes can be ordered through the campaign’s website, thecakecampaign.org, with orders put in by Thursday being delivered by Sunday.
