Chaii Pot makes Uxbridge ‘better place to visit’
By Aku Fu
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalWalking through Uxbridge shopping area just past the infamous Red Iron Burgers, we found a shop that had been threatening to open for a while called Chaii Pot.
The plan was to get a takeaway-tier 4 coffee. But, drawn in by the golden entrance and the fact that they did karak chaii (slow cookedm spiced milk tea), we decided lets give this place a shot instead.
The owners told us they are a Dubai based franchise with Omani roots. Having recently opened, they were in the middle of making an array of wraps for a Deliveroo photoshoot.
They had a good variety of hot beverages, wraps, pancakes (well, at least they looked a bit like pancakes), and desserts.
I saw a wrap called Oman, and asked them what this was. They told me that it’s a simple wrap with Omani crisps and spicy sauce – a snack to complement the tea.
They were also selling the crisp packets called Chips Oman, which I can imagine taste like the spicy local crisps I’ve had abroad with that thicker texture.
We didn’t waste much time and ordered two karak chai, and one Oman wrap. The wrap had a nice chilli sauce and worked well with the crisps and wrap bread.
Prices were reasonable; atmosphere was nice; tea was fine too; and they offer a good variety of Halal options.
Though these Karak Chai shops are becoming quite common now, though this being the first in Uxbridge, Chaii Pot’s availability makes this shopping area a better place to visit.

Was the tea similar to chapati and karak? I can’t really make out if it was any good from the comment the tea was fine
