Chaiiwala kick off 2020 with Newcastle debut

The popular Indian breakfast and tea chain Chaiiwala has launched its 25th branch – this time in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The launch comes on the back of their Karak Tea having been voted our Readers’ Choice: Best Beverage for the recently concluded #FtLion2019 awards.

Having taken over from Lajawab Grill on Westgate Road, this 24-cover establishment will be serving a menu of Indian street snacks with plenty of brewed teas and coffees.

You’ll also find items like a selection of rotis, Bombay sandwiches, Masala Chips, and of course an Indian breakfast that includes a “special” masala omelette.

Having launched over 4-years-ago, Chaiiwala now boasts cafes across the UK in places like London, Birmingham, Leicester, Cardiff, Bradford, Bolton and Blackburn among others.

Having covered the opening of at least four stores last year, they have another two about to open in west London – Southall and West Ealing, respectively.
