Chinnywala quality tea & desserts in Manchester for under £10
SPONSORED CONTENT HALAL STATUS Fully HalalIf there’s a saying that encompasses this little dessert vendor in Manchester, it is that ‘big things have small beginnings’.
Located around the corner to Wilmslow Road is Chinnywala on Hamilton Road, which maybe serving as a drive-thru in the somewhat unassuming Longsight Business Park, but serving they certainly are.
Punching way above its weight, this place is all about producing affordable freshly-made teas and desserts on a daily basis.
Unlike the vast majority of brands whose desi-tea is powder-based, Chinnywala’s Karak and Pink chais are made the traditional way, with plenty of churning, time, love and effort.
As for how good these are, then one food influencer described the former as “a bold and aromatic spiced tea with a creamy texture and a touch of sweetness”, and the “visually enchanting” Pink tea as “a beautiful blend with a unique rosy hue, delicate flavours and a hint of floral notes”.
When it comes to their selection of desserts, then the chinny in their name, which means sugar across South Asia, refers to the sugar their uniquely-crafted donuts are dunked into.
Which other dessert brand do you know of that’s created a bespoke, hand-operated contraption that literally molds perfectly-shaped donuts straight into the hot frier?
And with diners able to tailor their sugar-coated donuts from a choice 14 exciting toppings and five sauces, people who are in the know travel from far and wide to grab a box of four (£5), six (£7), or nine (£10) of their donuts.
Add to that Chinnywala’s homemade Milk Cakes, which includes the ever-popular Rose Pistachio (£5), and their recently introduced San Sebastian and chocolate Matilda cakes – again, all for less than a tenner and superior to those served at most of these luxury dessert parlours – and things start to make sense.
The folks in Manchester are spoiled rotten with a quality dessert place where innovation is the name of the game, and where guests can satisfy their sweet cravings in the comfort of their vehicle for no more than a tenner.
Chinnywala’s commitment towards providing their customers with fresh products isn’t just demonstrated by the extraordinary fact that they actually have an ice-cream maker located in the cabin itself, but also by how they’re constantly looking to keep the menu fresh and relevant.
Only this year, they launched their innovative Kunafa range that can be had with the donuts, Chinny bites, or ice cream, and which has taken Manchester by storm, with influencers swearing by how good it is.
In short, Manchester’s Chinnywala is one gem of a place which won’t be kept hidden for much longer.
