GDK group launches Choppaluna in London Bloomsbury

The people behind German Doner Kebab have officially opened the doors to Choppaluna’s first flagship UK restaurant in Bloomsbury, London.
The fast, fresh, food-to-go and dine-in brand is the latest concept to come from Hero Brands, the same group that’s behind the hugely successfully GDK.
Although their menu is predominantly veggie based, with chicken available as an alternative, Choppaluna have confirmed with FtLion: “We cater for Halal.”
Similar to GDK, Choppaluna too is health-focused and say they’ve introduced a “new healthy food experience that the nation never knew it needed”.
Opening at 8am, breakfast items are available including their hot scrambled egg-based ‘Breggfast Rolls’, which includes breakfast toppings all wrapped in their signature breads, as well as an assortment of freshly made-to-order porridges.
Otherwise, there’s fresh vegetable-oriented Chopped Bowls, and Big-Rolls, which are similar to the Breggfast Rolls except… bigger!
The brand also has plans of opening its next store in Berlin by January 2021, before embarking on further sites across London and the UK during the remainder of the year.
