The owner, who’s a Muslim, was very welcoming; the decor is modern and inviting; the place always busy.

Not the perfect chip. Yes, others will say that it’s crispy on the outside and fluffy and golden on the inside; but proper chips ought to be a combination of soggy and crispy, no?

The “special oil” they cook them in (and frequently change we’ve been told) makes all the difference in terms of taste though.

These were some of the best cods we’ve had.

Exactly as it should be: crisp on the outside, and well cooked and relatively non-greasy on the inside.

This place takes pride in what it cooks and presents, and the proof is in the, well, fish!
