Leading UK dessert chain Creams to take brand to Egypt
I’m incredibly proud to announce the first stage of our plans to expand Creams internationally – Adam Mani, Creams CEO & Founder
One of the UK’s most successful Halal dessert chains will be going international soon by aiming to open 22 stores in Egypt over the next five years.
100-strong dessert brand Creams has signed its first overseas franchise partner with established multi-brand hospitality business Cairo-based Mori International.
Including both full size stores and kiosk formats, the debut store will be opening this December in the fashionable Fifth Settlement district of Cairo’s Garden 8 shopping mall.
This 120 café will be designed according to Creams’ trademark-style interior with the menu offering all of the signature serves while incorporating local flavours and toppings unique to Egypt.
CEO and founder of Creams, Adam Mani, said: “I’m incredibly proud to announce the first stage of our plans to expand Creams internationally. We are delighted to have found a like-minded, seasoned multi-site operator like Mori International, to grow the brand in Egypt – they are as passionate about desserts and innovation as we are!”
With the move creating some 500 jobs for the country, Anisah Dathi, Egypt Country Director for the UK Department for International Trade, said he was “delighted to have… one of the UK’s leading dessert brands to Egypt”.
Creams’ expansion into Egypt is said to be the first of several international agreements in the pipeline, with plans to take the brand around the globe.
