Bookings now open for Darjeeling Express return to London Soho
HALAL STATUS Fully Halal food menu • Alcohol served“Bookings are now open” for the hugely anticipated return of Asma Khan’s Darjeeling Express to London’s Soho next week, the award-winning Chef announced today.
Scheduled to relaunch next Monday 30 January, her 90-cover, all-female led restaurant in Kingly Court will also “celebrate 10 years since we began our food journey around my home dining table in 2012”.
Having begun her journey as a supper club, Asma revealed in November of last year that she would be relocating back to her “spiritual home” on Carnaby Street where it all began in 2017.
With the menu having already been released, Darjeeling Express, she said, will “have all the favourites from our supperclub days and previous restaurants on this special limited time”.
While Asma was forced to move in 2020, she managed to secure a huge 120-cover venue in Covent Garden that very same year where she operated until March 2022.
Darjeeling Express has revealed its two fully Halal food menus, with the lunch a la carte offering small plates, toasties, Calcutta rolls, mains with dishes like the Prawn Malaikari and the Bengali style Kosha Mangsho, as well as plenty of sides.
In addition to the dinner set menu, which will offer the restaurant’s Royal Thali for £65 per person, alcohol will be served on the premises.
