Dawat On Tawa is a large eclectic restaurant that will be launching on Highfield Street in Leicester this Friday.
With the grand launch scheduled for 5pm, this place will “provide Leicester with a 100% Halal dining experience” with a multi-cuisine menu that’s headed by their tawas.
Beginning with their Dawat-e-Khas Tawa section, which is designed for 2, 3 or 4 persons, it begins with the Indian Apna Mashahari Tawa that comes with chops, a variety of chickens, kebabs, curries, rice, chips, naan, papadums and salad.
There’s also the Indo-Chinese Tawa that comprises a combination of dishes such as the classic chicken 65, salt & pepper fish, chilli garlic prawns, and crispy chicken, all coming with egg fried rice, veg hakka noodles, as well as salt and pepper chips.
If not that then there’s a choice of a veggie Shakahari Tawa; the seafood Samundri Tawa with things like calamari, prawns, and Kerala fish among other goodies; or the Arabic Tawa with a selection of grilled meats.
Otherwise, you have seven types of exciting Biryanis ranging from the traditional Hydrabadi to the layered Tiger Prawns version or the Kerala Style Fish.
Plenty of rice and nooles are on show as well as a huge (and we do mean huge here) array of starters followed by plenty of main courses.
If you don’t fancy sitting in, then collection is available and delivery through Just Eat and Deliveroo, as well as the local OwlGetIt.
