Doner Shack Glasgow debut in Silverburn centre tomorrow
HALAL STATUS Fully Halal food menu • Alcohol servedDöner Shack will be “handing out free kebabs” (website sign-up required) tomorrow 1 October to mark their debut in Glasgow.
The German street food brand has been targeting shopping centres of late with the previous launch in Leicester’s Highcross Shopping Centre and this one in Silverburn Shopping Centre.
With the grand opening at 11am, although the 65-cover restaurant offers a fully Halal food menu, alcohol has been introduced to this their fourth site, with Leeds being the only other one.
Döner Shack offers “authentic” kebabs using “freshly baked traditional Pidas” in its bakery, with homemade signature sauces as well as halloumi, falafel and a selection of milkshakes and German soft drinks.
The co-founders of Döner Shack, Sanghera Sanjeev and Laura Bruce, are also behind Döner Haus in Glasgow City Centre, whose Halal options of Döner and Shawarma aren’t just certified Halal, but the brand’s website states: “[W]e take great care to store, cook and serve these items separately.”
Döner Shack is now preparing to make its big London debut presumably some time later this year in Baker Street.
