‘UK’s first Dutch snackbar’ Dutchies relaunches tomorrow

Tomorrow will see the relocation and relaunch of the country’s “first Dutch snackbar” Dutchies which opened earlier this year in Birmingham.
With the grand opening at 3pm, the new place will be bigger than its predecessor and will offer “all your Dutch favourites”.
While the previous premises was located on Whitmore Road in Small Heath, this new venue is on the busy stretch of Ladypool Road.
As the “right place for Dutch expats to enjoy their favourite snacks”, this eatery offers doner kebab variations including a durum, a lahmacun donur wrap, a German doner panini or sandwich meal, a kapsalon, which is doner on chips topped with veggies and cheese, and a Dutchies Doner Box.
They also source various Dutch drinks too including Fernandes, Hawai, Chocomelk, Fristi and Pom’s, as well as an number of sauces, such as, dutch curry, frites, knoflook, and pinda.
Otherwise, there’s also classic Dutch snacks too that include:
- Kaassoufflé – a snack of melted cheese inside a thin, deep-fried dough-based wrap.
- Frikandel – a traditional snack that’s a minced-meat hot dog.
- Kipcorn – a cuisine snack that’s typical in Dutch fast food restaurants.
