Leicester’s DwnTwn opens huge second site in Blackburn
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalDwnTwn has taken it to the next level with the opening of a huge £250,000 venue in the centre of Blackburn.
Located on Lower Cockcroft, this is their second restaurant, with their first having opened in Leicester last year.
Having taken over from Halal Indian eatery Roomali, this new 80-cover branch is a double-storey building with an outdoor terrace area and balcony.
Although the ground floor and the seating area outside is only currently accessible, the second floor will be opened as a ‘chic’ café very soon.
Burgers include the Smash Dwn, which comes in 4oz, 6oz, or 8oz Angus patties; Veggie Twin; their chicken DWNTWN’R; and The Tower that combines both a fried chicken and a smashed patty.
DwnTwn is also reportedly looking to open further sites in Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Glasgow before the end of 2023.
