Élan opens second London cafe in Knightsbridge

Élan Cafe opened its second branch on Brompton Road in London’s affluent Knightsbridge area on Tuesday.
With far more seating than its first branch over in Park Lane – 20 tables to be exact – Élan Cafe continues to build on its philosophy of serving “healthy, natural food”.
But the cafe isn’t just a place to enjoy its “unfaltering commitment to using the finest ingredients to serve the very best coffee, in unforgettable style”.
Élan Cafe is also renowned for its use of a minimum-waste system, where coffee by-products are recycled and made in-store into “an earth-friendly range of scrubs and masks for face, body and hair” said to contain no preservatives or harmful chemicals.
Having been in partnership since 2001 with London’s award-winning Union coffee roasters – the first roasters in the country to source coffee beans directly from the farmers – Élan Cafe boasts a wide selection of coffee types and beverages.
From the usual type made from 100% Arabica beans that include a variety of single origin coffees brewed to order and caffeine-free alternatives, to Cold Coffees that includes the Nitro cold brew – a single origin coffee infused with pure nitrogen to create a creamy texture; as well as smoothies, frappes and iced teas.
An extensive range of beautifully presented breakfasts (hot and cold), soups, hot plates, and desserts are also offered such as:
- Acai bowl with banana, strawberries, blueberries,coconut and granola.
- Breakfast plate with poached egg, chopped salad, hummus, za’atar yoghurt, ful mudammas and sumac.
- Pulled lamb shoulder with spelt tabbouleh, hummus, flatbread and pomegranate molasses.
- Baked brioche pain perdue with strawberry and cinnamon.
In all, they offer 24 food menu items, 18 types of beverages, and an exciting selection of beauty products.
