Specialising in Japanese soufflé pancakes and located in the Knowledge Quarter of the city on Berry Street, this cafe is part of the UK brand’s 14-strong portfolio.

Not only does it offer freshly-made coffee and other beverages, but alongside ten soufflés, it also does pancakes, croffles, cheesecakes, and their recently introduced tiramisu.

What makes their soufflés so popular is the way in which they’re prepared, with the batter carefully hand-whipped, and slowly cooked to achieve that pillowy texture.

More a cafe than anything else, Fluffy Fluffy boast a dozen UK sites

While the brand was first launched in Canada’s Greater Toronto Area as Fuwa Fuwa in 2018, before going international in 2021 with a site in China, it was not until 2022 that it arrived in the UK as Fluffy Fluffy.

It now has venues across the country including Wales and London, with this spacious 25-cover eatery also serving speciality drinks as well as a classic lattes.

Made-to-order soufflé pancakes slow cooked for 20mins

Fluffy Fluffy’s soufflé pancakes are all made-to-order, with that signature soft, light and bouncy texture achieved through a slow cooking process that takes 20 minutes to complete at a low temperature.

While there is both a to-go and delivery options, if you’re looking for the best experience, then the trick is to enjoy these soufflés as soon as they’re served.

With a dozen to choose from, each one comes with a recommended sauce; although there is the option of pairing it with your choice of sauce.

The above Tiramisu Pancake, for instance, is certainly one for those who love their coffee, provided it’s paired with their recommended real espresso sauce.

If pistachio is your thing, then the Souffle Pancake covered in crushed pistachio and served with a thick pistachio sauce is definitely one to consider, with the berries helping to cut through the sweetness.

Otherwise, the unbeatable duo of Nutella with strawberries is the way to go, with the chocolate sauce really taking things to the next level.
