Fries & Guys in London’s Finsbury offers best of both worlds

Fully Halal Fries & Guys has opened its first branch in Finsbury Park, north London (credit: Zaman Siddiqui).
But this dine-in restaurant on Seven Sisters Road isn’t your typical smashed burger joint but instead offers something additional.
The menu begins with a select number of appetisers that includes lamp chops and fried halloumi sticks, with large platters also available such as their chef’s special.
Things get interesting, however, when it comes to their burgers, for not only do they offer the choice of a smashed beef patty but also a lamb or gourmet beef which we’re assuming aren’t themselves smashed.
With not many restaurants today bothering to offer this choice, Fries & Guys are a refreshing change to the plethora of smashed burger joints across the capital.
