CHIPSY

Chipsy-restaurant-Halal best of 2024 award

Having been the first restaurant this year to be rated 5/5, and coupled with the fact that this is their first bricks and mortar site, smokehouse Chipsy in London’s Hatch End is in with a great chance of winning this year.

This is especially true with four dishes also shortlisted. Not only was their smoked meats some of the best we’ve ever had, but Chipsy is the standard by which all other Halal smokehouses in London will be measured.

KAHANI

Kahani-London restaurant-Halal best of 2024 award

Fast forward to the end of the year and we have another 5/5 rated menu presented us by Michelin Chef Peter Joseph.

And with Kahani in London’s Chelsea having a staggering nine items shortlisted across six categories, we have a huge headache on our hands as to which restaurant will take the top prize.

MANTHAN

And from one Michelin chef to another with Rohit Ghai’s renowned Indian restaurant Manthan in London’s Mayfair, which we rated 4.5/5.

Consistency is how we would define out visit here; and it showed too with eight items in for the running across six categories.

MR WHITE'S ENGLISH CHOPHOUSE

With a drink, two starters, a seafood dish, and not one but three steaks in contention, Chef Marco Pierre White’s Mr White’s English Chophouse blew us away this year.

Having visited them a few years ago in what turned out to be a major disappointment, this time virtually everything was on point earning them a high 4.5/5, while being rated 4.8/5 by you guys.

RIBEYE

Manchester’s Ribeye was #FtLionAwards 2022’s Best Restaurant of the year in 2022 with their 5/5 rated menu.

This time it’s Ribeye‘s new branch in Birmingham that is in with a shout. Having been rated 4.5/5, they have a good chance with seven items shortlisted: two mocktails, a starter, a duo of mains, a seafood dish, and a steak. Gotta give it to them for sheer consistency alone.

STEAK ON THE GREEN

Steak on the Green in London’s Ealing weren’t just rated 4.5/5, but are also far more than just a steak restaurant.

This is evidenced by the fact that they also have a drink and a Wagyu burger in for the running. Truth be told, their steaks were some of the best we’ve had in quite some time.

URUMCHI

Urumchi-restaurant ealing Halal best of 2024 award

Despite having opened earlier this year, Urumchi Central London’s Cosmo Place was our third restaurant this year to be rated a perfect 5/5.

Having a drink, two mains, and a grill nominated, this place trumps all other Uyghur restaurants we’ve reviewed over the years to become the litmus test.
