German Doner Kebab launches in Ipswich & Reading

German Doner Kebab (GDK) keeps churning them out seemingly faster than we can keep count of.

This weekend saw the high profile launch of their Ipswich branch with celebrity guest Joey Essex invited down to drum up numbers.

And drum up numbers he did with fans milling outside to grab an autograph as well as a free doner kebab.

Meanwhile, a far quieter affair revolved around the opening of GDK in Reading’s Friar Street earlier this month.

Through the promotion of its healthy kebab option, which is said to have lower calories in comparison to your typical doners out there, there’s no stopping the international franchise.

The Chicken Doner Box Meal is touted to contain 433 calories while providing 46g of protein energy.

While these latest openings are their 16th and 17th UK venue, respectively, GDK will soon be launching its 18th in East Ham on 111 High Street, and 19th in Shepherd’s Bush on Uxbridge Road.
