Going Korean & healthy at Grounded Kitchen in Leicester
By Yunus Hajat (@hajats_reviews)
HALAL STATUS Fully HalalClean eating is massive around the globe, so today I decided to eat clean at Grounded Kitchen (who have two branches, this one being their first) for the first time; and you know what guys, it’s not bad at all!
What I had was a beautiful looking bowl called Bulgogi Chicken & Avocado.
This tasted so fresh, with the chicken being well seasoned and the freshly cut red chillis heating up my mouth for sure even though I asked for less chillis.
Everything in that bowl tasted so delicious that I even ate the lime they gave with it (not realising it was lime until it was in my mouth).
I also had an Iced Berry Matcha Latte which, given it’s not something I am used to having, my pallet didn’t personally like.
And my body felt really healthy and grounded… until I had the Pancake Stack!
The Pancakes tasted nice and soft, and were topped with strawberries, blueberries, granola, chocolate sauce and ice cream. It was one heavy but a satisfying treat!
Overall great food, super friendly staff, and old skool music while you are enjoying the food!
NOTE: Both the chicken and beef are Halal, with vegan options also available (enquire at the counter).
Both card (including contactless) and cash payments are accepted. There’s a 10% discount for all students providing they have their student ID’s. WC is available for all including disabled. And sockets, including USB, also available for those wanting to study or charge their phones.
