Established not long ago on Abbey Lane in Leicester, Spud Fellas are known for serving jacket potatoes with various fillings, burgers, mocktails and much more.

As part of our invite, we got given the following to try: Naga Special Doner with Fries; Crispy Chicken with Fries; Garlic Prawns with Fried Rice, Coleslaw and Garlic Bread; Jacket Potato with Cheese and Beans; and Mocktails (Strawberry and Passion).

Our food came in good time, and it was time to dig in, starting off with the Naga Special Doner, which looked delicious.

It was so flavourful and so spicy that we started eating, and just kept eating and eating.

Keeping in mind we have spice intolerance, I had to keep wiping my forehead, that’s how spicy it was (taking milk with me next time to cool things down).

The Crispy Chicken and Fries was enjoyable too, being nice and saucy, and just how we like it. The chicken was done perfectly.

I love prawns in general and this Garlic Prawns with Fried Rice, Coleslaw and Garlic Bread was delicious.

The prawns were well seasoned, and everything on this platter was presented nicely.

Jacket Potatoes are eaten widely across the country, and though were many fillings available, we were given the standard cheese and beans, which was a bit dissapointing to be honest.

I would’ve loved to try one of their unique fillings, which no other eatery offers, to push out and promote.

Anyhow, a great experience overall, with friendly staff serving us. Oh and one more thing, our mocktails were refreshing and perfect for a nice summer’s day.
