Halal Ranger ticks off Taco Bell in Woking from bucket list

To hear about a Halal Taco Bell just outside of London left me in awe. Since a young age, I’ve always seen and heard of taco bell in movies and TV shows, so it’s always been on my bucket list.
I always knew about the non-Halal branch in the UK; I never imagined that there would be a Halal one opening.
However, with a little bit of research, I discovered they had three branches serving Halal meat in Woking, Bradford and Glasgow (not fully sure, but there might be a few more in other locations).
The closest branch to me was Woking, where although all meat served is Halal, bottled alcohol is present to purchase separately.
Dorito Burrito Box – 1x Burrito, 1x Taco, 1 portion of fries, drink of your choice and a portion of cinnamon twists, £5.00
The box was such a delight and an explosion of different flavours. The portions were enough for a filling meal; however I would recommend upgrading the box to a taco supreme, as the normal taco felt a little dry without the sour cream. Other than that, there was no complaints with the taco.
Burrito
The crunch of the taco was very similar to a Dorito, which was very satisfying to bite into. The beef mince inside the taco was full of flavour and complemented the other ingredients therein very well.
Moving on to the cinnamon twists, I was not expecting such flavours and textures. When I read “twists”, I think of a churro-like texture. These twists were crunchy and had a perfect balance of cinnamon and sugar. If I had to compare the crunch to something I would compare it to Monster Munch crisps, although these were slightly lighter.
I was very impressed with the chips too. They were coated with powered spices which were slightly spicy, but on the mild side. The fluffiness of the chips were mouth-watering and delicious.
Crunch Wrap (left), £3.00
Beef layered with nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream and a crunchy tostada wrapped up and toasted – a perfect combo.
It was delicious and very filling. The size of the wrap was perfect and highly filling. The ingredients went very well with each other and made the wrap altogether very tasty.
The beef was seasoned well, and with the extra textural crunch of the tostada, a pleasure to eat.
All together Taco Bell is now in my top favourite restaurant lists. I would highly recommend going there and it is worth every penny!
