Bradford’s Heavenly Desserts stand out proud on Leeds Road
SPONSORED CONTENT HALAL STATUS Fully HalalThere was only ever going to be one dessert restaurant brand to be featured in FtLion’s tour of Bradford, and that’s Heavenly Desserts.
Boasting sites across the country, this particular spot on the popular Halal food stretch of Leeds Road is the latest of two eateries firmly established within the city.
The evocative design and aesthetics that define all their venues, especially this one with its glass-fronted exterior, means that as a luxury dessert parlour, they easily stand out from the crowd.
With a spiralling crystal chandelier as the focal point of this restaurant’s striking interior, seating is available for 22 downstairs as well as an additional 48 upstairs where you’ll also find a discreet prayer room.
As a fully Halal establishment, Heavenly Desserts appear to have all areas covered, with little expense having been spared in providing diners the best experience possible.
Heavenly Desserts innovate to ensure astoundingly unique dishes
Their renowned menu exhibits the same care and attention that’s gone into the aesthetics of the place, with a dazzling array of options that include some astoundingly innovative inventions.
Just take their Signature ‘Grow Up’ as an example, which sees a plant pot – filled to the brim with a scrumptious mixture of chocolate Oreo ‘soil’, cookie cheesecake cream, and soft cookie pieces – being paired with a silky smooth glass of Biscoff milk syrup.
But it’s also all about the journey too when visiting any Heavenly Desserts branch, with their new range of dainty ‘Shots’ being introduced to help prime the taste buds before the showstoppers.
In this case, of the quartet available, the two best-sellers are the White Chocolate & Biscoff, and the Milk Chocolate & Pistachio – both paired with a miniaturised, crunchy wafer cone.
If you’re after something to warm you up, then the Tiramisu Croffle – a mind-blowing cross between a waffle and a croissant – is definietly one for the maturer palate.
Topped by a mini amaretti for texture, and a contrasting scoop of a stracciatella gelato, the accompanying cappuccino sauce and milk chocolate are the perfect foil against the uber-crispy croffle.
Alternatively, if you’re after something more classical, then another Signature dish to consider is the Blueberry French Toast Pudding, with a thick slice of brioche bread beautifully baked in a luxuriously creamy, cinnamon-infused custard.
This is topped with plenty of fresh blueberries, whose fruity tartness is wonderfully offset by the sweetness of the accompanying maple syrup, and a nice scoop of Madagascan vanilla gelato offering that tantalising contrast between the hot and the cold.
Finally, a visit to Heavenly Desserts simply is not complete without trying the ever-popular Milk Cake, which can be had in three different flavours, and which includes Lotus Biscoff or plain Saffron.
The delicately soft sponge base of the popular Vanilla, Pistachio & Rose is saturated in a superb pistachio milk syrup, topped in a soft scream, and finished with a sprinkling of crushed pistachios and dried rose petals.
Said to originate from Mexico, and commonly referred to as a ‘torta de tres leches’, this is the place to try one if you’ve never had a milk cake before.
With such an extensive menu though, there’s so many more unique options to explore, all of which can be enjoyed dining in, or having it delivered directly to you via Heavenly Desserts’ partners Uber Eats, Just Eat, and Deliveroo.
