Wembley Ikea cater for Halal… and children

Since last year, I have noticed IKEA giving us Halal options in their canteen restaurant.
Really, it’s half the reason I go to IKEA – the old draw of the food you can eat when you have to go out!
First time I noticed the Halal sign was when they gave the option of children’s chicken nuggets, chips and peas.
More recently, I saw them offering us a Halal Piri Piri Chicken Skewers option on the menu.
They have a variety of veggie options too, and a 50p hot dog at the exit stalls.
Their breakfast looks hearty for the price as well. In general a good budget place to eat, with the kids thinking it a day out at the play centre they have; so win-win for all.
The food, as expected, is canteen level. It does the job though, and at that price, with refillable drinks and quick service, you’re left satisfied.
The layout and atmosphere is open-aired and Scandinavian to a fault. All in all, nice to see IKEA catering to the demographic.
